Welcome to the Redditch & Bromsgrove CAMRA Young members page! It’s here we show you that Real Ale is enjoyed by people from all sorts of backgrounds, not just by bearded folk in woolly jumpers! You don’t have to be a member to enjoy a good pint; all you need is a thirst for a good pub atmosphere. Young member events happen all over the country, and include regular meetings as well as working socials at beer festivals and pub crawls.
Every Sunday - Pub Game Social crawl starting at The Seven Stars from 8pm.
Join us for some traditional pub fun every Sunday from 8pm. Whether your're a diva on the dartboard or just a plonker on the pool table you will be most welcome. It's also a chance for young members to catch up and discuss future events over a couple of pints. There's even a pub quiz for those who want to rack their brains. Meet us at the Seven Stars in Birchfield Road, Redditch from 8pm. We'll be on the pool table, ready and waiting!
Thursday 9th September - Young Member Steak Night!
Come and join us for a meal with a difference - you get to cook your steak or meat to your very own liking on a black rock! Other meals also available; The Dodford also has a great range of beers and ciders, and it's the Pub in the Field! The grill gets fired up at 8pm...please let us know if you would like a lift.
Thursday 14th October - Young Member Curry and Pub Crawl
Join us for one of our famous curry nights - a curry and a beer for only £4.99! Yes that's right, just £4.99 for a curry, rice, naan bread, poppadum and a guest ale all in! The full Wetherspoons menu is also available for those who aren't keen on curry.
After the meal we'll head onto other Redditch pubs such as The Golden Cross, Rising Sun, Woodland Cottage or even the Queen's Head on Bromsgrove Road. Meet in the Royal Enfield (Wetherspoons) at Redditch B97 4QR at 7:30, or come and find us later if you'd just like to join us on the pub crawl.
Saturday 30th October - Young Member's Social at Birmingham Beer Festival
Join us for Birmingham CAMRA's Beer Festival with over two hundred beers, ciders and perries including a specialist vegan bar and a range of foreign bottled beers.
We'll be meeting in The Wellington on Bennet's Hill Birmingham (B2 5SN) at 10:30 for a swift half so that we can all get lost together (joke) when we set off for the new venue at The Second City Suite in Sherlock Street, Birmingham. If you can't make the start time then please let us know and we can arrange to meet you at some point during the day. If you can't make it on Saturday then don't forget that the festival also runs on Thursday and Friday.
Sunday 28th November - Young Member South City Crawl and Roast
Join us for a pub crawl followed by Sunday lunch as we explore some of the branch's rural pubs via rail on the South Birmingham City Line. Meetig in The Golden Cross in Redditch at 12 noon, we'll be off for a warm welcome at The Weighbridge in Alvechurch. Stop number three wll be the Victoria Inn in Barnt Green, arriving in Northfield for Sunday Lunch at the Black Horse at approx 3:30pm. From there, who knows....!

Previous Events
On the 8th May we had a fantastic day out on the buses visiting pubs around the Black Country. We drank some fantastic brews such as chocolate stouts and Black Country Specials (there was no way that we were going to stick to Mild when we saw these beers on at the bar!). We managed a fantastic eleven pubs which included The Windsor Castle in Lye; The Vine/Bull & Bladder in Brierley Hill; The Court House in Dudley; Ma Pardoe's in Netherton; The Bull and The Beacon Hotel (both in Sedgley), and even managed a swift in The Wellington in Birmingham before catching the train home. A big thanks to Steve Thompson of Dudley branch for organising the day.
