Cannon Royall Brewery Ltd
Cannon Royall started brewing in 1993 in a converted cider house behind the CAMRA Good Beer Guide listed, Fruiterers Arms at Uphampton just outside the village of Ombersley in Worcestershire. The brewery is owned and run by Jim Wonders who has been brewing since 1987. It is a very small brewery, producing approx. 16 barrels per week.
There are 5 regular beers:
FRUITERERS MILD abv 3.7% This is a dark luxuriant mild with just enough sweetness to compliment the chocolate and roast malts.
KINGS SHILLING abv 3.8% Citrus flavours are prominent in this session bitter. Hoppy and bitter but well balanced with malt flavours
ARROWHEAD BITTER abv 3.9% This is a strongly hopped beer, leaving a clean dry aftertaste
MUZZLE LOADER abv 4.2% A fruity nose disguises the attack of hops that follow. A dry bitter beer that leaves a lingering aftertaste.
ARROWHEAD EXTRA abv 4.3% An intense, aromatic hop aroma. There is some sweetness on the palate. The finish is long and bitter.
